ABOUT US - THE WEEKEND FESTIVAL

We are dedicated to ensuring that The Weekend Festival serves as a space for celebrating connections and supporting our communities. Our mission is straightforward: we aim to bring hope to children facing adversity. Utilising the transformative potential of music, education, and nourishment, we endeavour to make enduring positive changes in the lives of children and young adults in both the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

We are a Nottinghamshire charity supporting people with learning disabilities to live happier, healthier lives in their community.  People with learning disabilities in our county face a higher than average risk of poor health, loneliness and social isolation.

Our centres Reach SouthwellReach NewarkReach MansfieldFlower Pod and Flower Pod Newark support people with learning disabilities to enjoy a better quality of life in their own community. We do this by offering courses, social activities, holidays and best practice projects to find new solutions to problems.  We have begun to offer high quality accommodation options and are developing plans for the future.

Through the transformative power of music, education, and food. We strive to create lasting positive impacts in the lives of children and young adults both in the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

Raising funds for musical instruments | The weekend festival

The mission is to gather funds for the distribution of numerous musical instruments to various community groups. This effort is designed to empower children in street and impoverished communities, allowing them to borrow, learn, and find hope through music. Importantly, the endeavor is set to progress beyond its initial phase and encompass a broader range of musical instruments.

PHILIPPINES OUTREACH

Philippines Outreach supported by The Weekend Festival, Nottingham

We will extends a helping hand to children living on the streets in the Philippines. We provide them with free musical instruments to learn and play with, essential nourishment, and valuable educational resources, fostering an environment that encourages their growth and development.

MUSIC CLUB FOR KIDS IN POVERTY

the Weekend Festival supports music clubs for kids living in poverty

We aim to obtain 3 buildings in order to allow kids on the street to learn and play music in safety for free. We will also provide free meals for kids and young adults to bring hope to the most vulnerable.
